Last night my daughter-in-law, Danelle, called to tell us that my lovely granddaughter, Lindsey, had gotten the highest score for science in a statewide academic test. She will be given an award in April at a ceremony held at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida. We know this young lady is very smart, but to have this kind of validation is awesome. Her grammy is understandably verklempt. Though this picture was taken a few weeks ago, this is how I imagined Danelle's face as she shared the news with me. Congratulations Lindsey!
